Job Title: Family Time Worker
Working Pattern: Part-time, 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday afternoons until 6.30pm, plus some weekend rota working

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a successful team and to improve outcomes for children and families. We are looking for a motivated, organised and flexible individual to join our team and contribute to this developing service.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

About the Role

The Family Time Service in Lincolnshire, currently has a part time position (24hrs) based at Grantham Family Centre.

The post is working Monday to Friday afternoons, working until 6.30pm to cover the after school need.

Some weekend working may be required. this is completed on a rota basis.

The Team

The Family Time Service in Lincolnshire is a county wide service. There are 4 Senior Family Time Workers, managed by a Practice Supervisor and Team Manager. Across the County there are 21 Family Time Workers, working across 8 centres, you will be line managed by the Senior for your locality.

About You

The successful applicant will be required to supervise family time between children and their parents/family, where children are subject to court proceedings, and no longer in the care of their parents. You will need to demonstrate a clear awareness of safeguarding children. An accurate report is completed after each session, therefore good recording and IT skills are essential.

A natural communicator, you should be able to work in partnership with parents and other professionals to promote and model good quality family time. A good understanding of child development, attachment, separation and risk management would be a distinct advantage, as there is a clear expectation that you will promote the best interests of the child.

NVQ level 3 is required in Health and Social Care or related equivalent.

The role may require you to work across various locations, therefore the use of a car and a current clean driving license is essential for the role.

Salary range

  • £30,024 - £32,597 per year
