About the role

At Northumberland County Council, we take pride in our dedicated employees who are passionate about improving the lives of adults in our communities, ensuring they feel safe, healthy, happy, and independent.

Care and Support provide a holistic and integrated service for adults aged 18 and over. We support individuals with both physical and mental health needs, working closely with a wide range of partner agencies; including drug and alcohol services, mental health practitioners, health professionals, housing services, the police, and children’s social care, to ensure coordinated and effective support.

What we are looking for:

  • Enthusiastic, qualified Social Workers with acommitmenttocontinuous development

You’ll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority’s statutory duties is essential.

If you bring these skills and values, we invite you to join a progressive and innovative organisation that truly values its employees.

Additional benefits of working for Northumberland include the support of our dedicated Adult Social Care training team, who provide a wide range of career development opportunities to help you grow and progress in your role.
