The Role
The role requires a strong strategic focus, alongside the ability to translate insight, data and organisational priorities into practical plans and measurable outcomes.
Combines strategic oversight with operational activity and is responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation's priorities across Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
Learning & Development
- Lead the implementation of an organisation-wide Learning & Development strategy aligned to business priorities and future skills needs. Lead the effective management and allocation of the L&D budget, ensuring value for money and alignment with CCW's priorities.
Engagement
- Lead the development of staff surveys and employee listening mechanisms, working with CCW's external delivery partner. Translate feedback and insight into clear, actionable plans, monitoring delivery and reporting progress to leadership and executive teams
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Wellbeing
- Lead the creation and delivery of a robust EDI roadmap, aligned to organisational strategy, values, legislative requirements and the Public Sector Equality Duty
Person specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience leading organisation-wide Learning & Development or organisational development strategies, including needs analysis, programme design and evaluation
- Demonstrable experience of influencing senior stakeholders and working across organisational boundaries
- A strategic approach, with the ability to translate insight, data and organisational priorities into meaningful actions
- Strong written communication skills, including experience producing strategies, reports, dashboards and communications
