About the role:An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Family Time Service for the position of a Family Time Supervisor - internally known as a Senior Contact Worker. You will undertake a range of specialist tree management activities, such as coppicing and thinning and identify a range of tree species, to inspect, survey and recognise specific defects and associated hazards within individual trees.
You will also carry out and be responsible for the safe and correct application of pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals, write and record site specific risk assessments and assist in the execution of all aspects of individual arboricultural operations and long-term work schedules. There will also be a requirement for you to support existing team in responding to emergency works and manage the on-site working environment when necessary.

Candidates must be resilient, enthusiastic, good communicators, have excellent attention to detail and be keen to develop their building surveying skills. You will have opportunities within the teams to gain building surveying experience whilst studying part time towards a RICS accredited Building Surveying degree at one of our accredited Universities. Skills: 1.	Have the entry requirements to enrol on a BSc (Hons) Chartered Surveyor degree apprenticeship of a minimum 112 UCAS points, this can include A levels or BTEC qualifications. 2.	Have an interest in building surveying and a desire to learn and become a Chartered Building Surveyor, any knowledge and awareness of the building surveying role and skills will be an advantage. 3.	Have the capability to undertake research so that you can evaluate different building options such as products or building methods. You will be trained to prepare a specification of work, gain quotations and manage repair work. 4.	Have relevant experience of using all Microsoft packages; in particular be able to demonstrate practical IT skills using Word and Excel spreadsheets to analyse data and be able to use various software packages as part of undertaking a surveying role. You will be trained to use AutoCAD or similar drawing packages to support Building Surveyors by producing planning and building regulations drawings. 5.	Be organised and methodical when preparing and managing your own workload or undertaking surveys and have excellent attention to detail. You will be trained to carry out a range of practical surveys including stock condition surveys and how to diagnose building defects as well as assess quality of work undertaken. 6.	Be confident and a good communicator when working with all Housing staff, other departments, contractors and specifically our Local Authority Housing customers as most repairs and maintenance work is undertaken in occupation whilst our residents are living in their homes. 7.	Have excellent written skills demonstrating good spelling and grammar along with setting out and presentation skills and be proficient in communicating your point concisely within a report. 8.	Demonstrate an aptitude for understanding formal text, particularly legal text as set out in construction law. 9.	Have a positive attitude towards work, be resilient, embrace change and actively work with your colleagues to improve the service offered to customers. 10. This Specialist ‘Contract Care’ Foster Carer role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to provide a stable, family home for a child. You'll play a crucial role in their journey, offering support, guidance, security and care. Requirements and responsibilities<ul><li>Derby City, Nottingham City and Derbyshire County and Nottinghamshire County Councils are looking for Specialist Foster Carers who can look after young people who would otherwise need to live in a residential setting.</li><li>The young people are likely to have complex needs requiring a higher level of care, support and nurturing to make a real difference to their lives and future. Contract Care Foster Carer

About the roleWe’re looking for a Procurement Manager to lead high-value, complex procurement activity and support the development of category management strategies across the organisation. You will act as a trusted commercial advisor, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, delivering value-for-money outcomes, and building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.This is a key role within our Procurement function, supporting strategic sourcing, market engagement, risk management and contract delivery. You will play a vital part in strengthening our procurement capability and driving best practice across the Group.What you’ll do:<ul><li>Lead and manage high-value (above-threshold) procurement projects in line with agreed category and procurement strategies, overseeing market engagement, option appraisals, evaluations, negotiations and contract execution.</li><li>Support Procurement Business Partners with the development and implementation of category strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, legislation and best practice.</li><li>Provide expert advice, challenge and guidance on Procurement Policy, the Public Contracts Regulations and all relevant legislation to ensure compliance across the Group.</li><li>Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering a joined-up approach to the procurement of goods, services and works.</li><li>Maintain an accurate forward plan of contracts, ensuring visibility of upcoming requirements and future activity.</li><li>Promote a culture of integrity, ethics and compliance, ensuring controls are robust, risks are managed, and policies are understood and adhered to.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, commercial assurance and risk mitigation.</li></ul>What you’ll bring:<ul><li>Experience delivering category, procurement and/or contract management strategies with measurable cashable and non-cashable benefits.</li><li>Strong background working as a procurement professional in a large, complex organisation.</li><li>Significant experience delivering procurement projects using structured methodologies such as PRINCE2, meeting required time, cost and quality parameters.</li><li>Experience of leading public procurement procedures with knowledge of both PCR15 and PA23.</li><li>Expert understanding of procurement systems, legislation, policy, guidance and best practice across multiple categories of spend.</li><li>Ability to interpret and work with commercial contract terms and conditions.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong networks and work collaboratively.</li><li>Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), supported by sound IT capability (Microsoft Office and procurement systems).</li><li>Relevant professional qualification(s), such as CIPS Level 5 (or working towards).</li></ul>Why join us?
