Our well-established and highly regarded job brokerage service is seeking a dedicated professional with strong experience in supported employment to work on our Connect to Work programme. B&D Works (formerly known as the Job Shop) provides employment advice, training, and job opportunities to local people looking for work. We are recruiting a Job Broker who can deliver lifechanging employment support for people with health conditions/disabilities and from disadvantaged groups. As a Job Broker, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of the individuals you support, while contributing to a fairer and more inclusive society. About you

As a Work & Skills Broker, you will support clients with health conditions/disabilities and from disadvantaged groups to identify and secure meaningful, competitive paid employment aligned with their personalised plans. This is a hands-on opportunity to empower people with the tools, confidence, and support they need to flourish. You will bring empathy, compassion, and a holistic, person-centred approach to helping individuals achieve their employment goals. You will manage a caseload of approximately 25 people and engage directly with a range of stakeholders. Success in this role requires: A strong ability to empathise with clients Determination and resilience to proactively seek out employment opportunities Excellent communication skills to build relationships with employers and positively influence perceptions of health conditions/disabilities and disadvantaged groups. You will work across B&D Works network of locations, including public buildings, GP Surgeries and Health Hubs. You must be highly organised, able to think on your feet, and comfortable working independently in a fast paced, paced, target driven environment influenced by local government and external funding requirements.
