About the Role

Fixed Term until 30/09/2028

We are looking for a highly motivated Graduate to join LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate. This is a highly exciting opportunity which will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to work within the Housing Team at the CA with exposure to public and private sector partners while developing key skills and experiences through both in house and external training options.

As a Graduate you will work on a wide and varied range of projects which sit within the CA’s Housing Delivery or Development Teams (there are two posts available with one post sitting in each team). The Delivery team works with key stakeholders to develop housing projects from inception through to delivery using the Combined Authority’s funding streams and resources. This can include new build homes, empty homes and heritage projects. The Development team has a focus on building up a pipeline of projects to be ready for delivery. This involves spatial and data analysis to ensure an evidence and place-based approach to Development in the City Region.

We are looking for graduates who have recently graduated and who are looking for an opportunity to gain experience within the housing sector. About the person

Are you interested in developing your skills within the housing sector across the Liverpool City Region?

You must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the work of the Combined Authority and the housing sector in terms of the housing market, viability issues, planning regulations and the development process. You must also have some awareness of the housing development/ delivery issues which are specific to the City Region. We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a commitment to developing in this role and you must be adaptable, proactive and possess excellent communication skills.

The right candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the following:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree gained within the past few years
  • A commitment to engaging with diverse project stakeholders in the context of delivering publicly funded housing projects
  • Analytical skills and some experience of handling data sets
  • Willingness to learn and develop into the role
  • Self-starting and highly-motivated
  • Conscientious, with attention to detail
  • Some experience of using systems for analysis such as relevant GIS tools, Power BI, or other relevant analysis and monitoring applications.
