The Post
We are seeking an&nbsp;Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist&nbsp;to join&nbsp;Brent’s Reablement Team—an integrated service that combines fast-paced responses to&nbsp;Home First&nbsp;discharges with the delivery of reablement and social care services through a short-term intervention model. The team’s ethos centres on promoting and enabling independence, and we maintain strong working relationships with our partners and colleagues in the hubs and intermediate care services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in working with adults with physical disabilities and older people. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team by providing specialist advice, guidance, and supervision to non-qualified staff (OT Assistants). In addition, the practitioner will have the opportunity to work directly with Brent residents in their homes, carrying out OT assessments and delivering reablement interventions.

The Person
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification, such as a Degree or Diploma from the College of Occupational Therapists (or equivalent), and must be currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Evidence of recent and relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is also required.
We are looking for a&nbsp;Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist&nbsp;with excellent communication skills and experience working in a social care or community-focused multidisciplinary setting. You should have a strong understanding of moving and handling equipment, and be confident in recommending both minor and major adaptations.
You will be passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and committed to delivering high-quality services. Strong skills in multitasking, prioritisation, caseload management, and time management are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a multi-skilled team, including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Care Assessors.
The successful candidates will ideally have post graduate experience in Social Care and/or Intermediate Care, have experience of supervising staff and or students in the work place and of working with Home Care providers and/or Reablement providers.

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Collections and Exhibitions Manager to join our Heritage Service as maternity cover. The role is responsible for our collection of over 100,000 objects and our exhibitions and activities programme across our four attractions; Guildford Museum, Castle, Guildhall and Guildford House. The successful candidate will be able to work proactively, flexibly and efficiently to support our small team delivering curated exhibitions, collections care and development, loans in/ out whilst maintaining all relevant industry standards.
In addition, the role is responsible for the relocation of our off-site stores which will happen in the summer of 2026. This encompasses rationalisation and disposal of objects according to our own, and industry, policies, processes and standards, as well as all logistics to move the majority of our collection of objects to our new stores.

The job involves collecting all types of refuse and recycling waste, from litter bins, residential bins and trade bins, and loading them into the refuse vehicle.&nbsp; You will need to have excellent fitness levels and be capable of walking for 8 to 12 miles per day.
You will need proven experience of heavy manual work involving lifting, and be capable of pulling and emptying refuse bins.&nbsp; You should have a customer service approach to service delivery, communicating positively and working efficiently in a team.&nbsp; You should be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.

Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. To also support with any reablement needs and providing personal support where required.<h4>Principal responsibilities</h4><ol><li> To support people within their own home to live an independent life.</li><li>With reference to the individual’s care plan provide practical and emotional support to customers to help them maintain independent living. In appropriate cases:</li></ol><ul><li>Assist customers with physical disabilities to carry out activities, hygiene routines and manage medication as directed within their care plans to help maintain health and wellbeing;</li><li>Assist customers to undertake practical tasks to help maintain their physical wellbeing and/or improve their living conditions.</li></ul><ol><li>With reference to the individual’s care plan promote independence through the provision of information to customers and through liaison with carers, internal and external agencies. Part of your role will be to support people within their local community enabling them with volunteer placements, budgeting, social activities, and future planning of goals.</li><li>You will be responsible for updating daily record sheets, any communication with outside agencies and ensuring that any changes to the individual’s needs, are documented and reported to ensure that the care plan is a live document, whilst utilising departmental electronic record systems.</li><li>Undertake risk assessments, manual handling, and medication assessments in order to safeguard customers and staff, as well as to meet service standards.</li><li>You will be regularly reviewing the customers progress, monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of the support plan whilst documenting adjustments where necessary. You will ensure that all changes within the persons care package are communicated back to managers.</li></ol>About you<ul><li>Satisfactory clearance of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring service check.</li><li>Educated to GCSE or Equivalent</li><li>Care Certificate (or willing to work towards)</li><li>Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willing to work towards)</li><li>Proven experience in health or care work</li><li>Experience of delivering care services in a community-based setting</li><li>Demonstrate an interest in working in this area and the ability to undertake the role</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills.
