What will you be doing?The Kent Registration Service is looking for Celebratory Officers to register and conduct their civil ceremonies; these include marriages, civil partnerships, and renewal of vows. This is an opportunity to play a key part in a couple’s special day and is a wonderfully rewarding customer-facing role, giving you the opportunity to meet a wide range of people.We have annualised hours contracts available across the county for 248 hours and 136 hours per annum. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments over the year regardless of the hours worked that month.The greatest proportion of the work will take place during peak ceremony times which under normal circumstances will be from June to September inclusive. An exciting opportunity is available for an Experienced Occupational Therapist to come and work in our community OT Service, working with people in their own environment, to maximise their independence, reduce need for care and support as appropriate, and supporting carers in their roles.
About the candidate:
You will develop your skills, knowledge and experience, in long term conditions management, utilising specialist equipment and major adaptations, manual handling assessment outcomes and plans, adaptative techniques, postural and functional assessments to meet needs, reduce risks and maintain functional ability, improve safety and enable or maintain their independence where possible. Working in a community role under social care, housing adaptations, and all other relevant legislation, applying relevant legislation and equipment and grant criteria, to achieve outcomes for people, supporting with daily living activities. Working collaboratively with other professionals in ASC, and the wider MDT professionals, carers, and individuals.
You will develop your leadership skills supporting students, assistant, less experienced OT staff, supporting their development learning and experience. You will be supported by experienced OT colleagues and team leaders to develop your experience and skills, and undertake monthly service CPD sessions, including external speakers and representatives, and access to external courses as relevant, and our full range of training available, accessing any leadership skills development as required.
You will receive formal support, guidance and regular monthly clinical and management supervision from team leader. We hold monthly team meetings across the service areas, bringing together all therapy staff, discussing relevant and pertinent topics, service progression and exploring developments.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion.&nbsp;You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

We’re hiring a Night Recovery Worker to join our Croydon team, a 24/7, 27 bed residential service providing support to people with forensic mental health needs, complex needs, and dual diagnosis. You’ll provide person centred support to help residents overcome challenges and achieve their goals through tailored support plans, activities and partnership working. The service offers psychologically informed housing and resettlement support as part of our wider forensic mental health step down services. You’ll play a vital role in residents’ rehabilitation and reintegration, ensuring the night service runs smoothly through welfare checks, resident support, administrative tasks, and clear handovers with day staff and managers.
Some key responsibilities include:&nbsp;

<li>Being the main support worker for a group of residents, helping to create and update their support and risk plans.</li>
<li>Provide advice, guidance, information, and life skills training to residents and participants, while carrying out welfare checks and ensuring the night service runs smoothly</li>
<li>Support residents and participants to take correct medication if needed.</li>
<li>Help residents understand their rights, build confidence, and become more independent as they return to the community.</li>
<li>Notice when someone’s mental health is getting worse and take action to stop things from reaching a crisis.</li>
<li>Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns when needed.</li>
<li>Support residents with taking their medication and keep accurate records. Build good working relationships with colleagues and outside agencies.</li>

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Behaviour &amp; Exclusions Co‑ordinator to play a key role in supporting schools, families and the Local Authority with matters relating to suspensions, permanent exclusions, pupil moves, managed moves and off‑site direction.
About the Role:
You will work alongside the Inclusion Strategy Manager to provide high‑quality advice, ensure compliance with statutory guidance, and maintain robust systems for tracking pupil movement and outcomes. You will build strong relationships with schools, academies, outreach teams and partner agencies, ensuring children and young people receive appropriate, timely and effective support.
This is a varied role involving case management, co-ordination of managed moves, data analysis, training support, and presenting information to decision‑making panels. No two days will be the same, and your work will directly contribute to positive inclusion outcomes across the borough.
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be an organised, confident and compassionate professional with experience working with children, young people and families—ideally within a school, local authority or similar setting. You’ll have strong knowledge of exclusions, alternative provision, and related legislation, or the ability to learn this quickly.
You will possess excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, working effectively with headteachers, families, and a wide range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable analysing data, managing complex information, and working to strict statutory deadlines. You’ll be able to problem‑solve, remain calm under pressure, and navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. A flexible approach, strong IT skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider inclusion team are essential.

We are seeking to appoint an individual that wishes to make a difference to the local environment within Nelson.
As an Environmental Warden, you will work to promote behaviour change by raising awareness of environmental issues through educational projects and involvement in community events linking to anti-littering or waste prevention.&nbsp; As post holder you will be required to work closely with elected Members and other agencies to deliver improvements in the area. You will be required to attend occasional evening or weekend events such as Town Council meetings and co-ordinate clean ups in areas which suffer from deprivation or misuse.&nbsp;&nbsp;
If required you will assist colleagues to enforce the relevant legislation relating to reports of fly-tipping; littering; abandoned vehicles; incorrect separation, presentation and removal of waste and waste containers, clearance of waste from private land and breaches of our current Public Space Protection Orders.
You must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people in writing, and face-to-face, sometimes in difficult situations.
You should have good organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative managing your workload in order to meet given deadlines.&nbsp; You should also be computer literate, and have good numeracy skills, along with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
As you will be required to travel around Nelson, a current, full driving licence is essential for this position.&nbsp;

THE ROLE Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive and as a key member of our senior leadership team, you will ensure that your service provides expert legal advice on complex and sensitive matters, including commercial contracts, property, planning, litigation, and public law. You will also act as Deputy Monitoring Officer, ensuring the highest standards of conduct and governance across the organisation.
With scope to shape the service you will oversee service improvement, efficiency, and resilience, supporting transformation and digital innovation. As part of your wider leadership role you will work collaboratively with elected members, senior officers, and external partners to deliver our corporate priorities, including supporting our work in shaping LGR for the county. ABOUT YOU We are seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister with significant experience of providing complex legal advice in a local authority setting. It will be important that you can demonstrate political awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
This role would be well-suited to an experienced senior lawyer who is seeking their first role as a head of service. The governors of St Mary's Catholic College would like to invite applications from excellent, enthusiastic and engaging individuals for the post of Senior Science Laboratory Technician. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the department, by the preparation of tools, equipment, spaces and materials for lessons. The Senior Science Laboratory Technician will undertake a practical health and safety role for the relevant departments. The senior technician role forms a central part of the work of the department and will work closely with teaching staff to support, develop and further extend the work of the department and the experiences of the students.&nbsp;
Key responsibilities: Preparation and assembly of tools and spaces for demonstration, class practical work, assessments and examinations. To ensure equipment and other materials are left/stored in a safe and secure condition, ready for reuse. To inform the teacher in charge of stock to be replaced/ordered.&nbsp; Purchase of materials from local shops as required and bulk orders where appropriate. To assist students in class with work acting as a role model and support in their learning to help develop their skills and enhance their progress. Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times. Provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher during practical lessons.&nbsp; Work on your own initiative as well as a member of a team.
