As a MiCare Support Worker you:

<li>Provide support to adults to develop and maintain activities of daily living, including personal care.</li>
<li>Support people to undertake a range of social care tasks such as washing, dressing/undressing, showering, and bathing, meal preparation, domestic activities and engaging in community activities.</li>
<li>Undertake a range of delegated health care tasks as required such as prompt prescribed medication, supporting the application of prescribed creams, eye and ear drops, catheter care and prompting exercise as prescribed by the physiotherapist.</li>
</ul>
It is essential that you have a full UK driving license and access to a car to enable you to work in this role.
Basic pay of £12.45 - £12.65 per hour, Saturdays at £18.68 - £18.98 per hour, Sundays and bank holidays at £24.90 - £25.30 per hour.&nbsp;

We are seeking to recruit Customer Assistants to work on a casual basis, responding to the demands of our busy theatre and curatorial programmes. Including our very busy pantomime season throughout December. Customer Assistants are the first point of welcome and information for visitors to The Atkinson. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service and customer care for visitors and audiences across all aspects of the programme. The Atkinson is open evenings and weekends as well as during the week. Many of the shifts will be in the evening, supporting the performing arts programme. Front of house responsibilities for hospitality will include working in the bar and ushering at theatrical events. Point of sale experience including bar experience will be beneficial to the role, and Customer Assistants must be over 18 as they may be required to serve alcohol. There may also be opportunities to work in the museum and gallery as invigilators. You will be a reliable and punctual person who has an interest in the arts and enjoys working in customer facing roles. The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team is essential to the position. You will have a friendly, confident and approachable manner to maintain a high level of customer service at all times. You will also be able to carry out administrative and financial routines, maintaining records to the designated standard. This can be a very physically demanding role; therefore we are looking for flexibility and adaptability. Candidates must also be able to work under pressure and on their own initiative. As a member of The Atkinson team you will be an enthusiastic advocate for the whole cultural offer. The role includes litter management, clearing of fly tipping, chewing gum removal, graffiti removal, leaf clearance, cleaning up of spillages, amenity grass cutting, hard landscaping, dyke management, washing of street furniture, playground installation, weed growth, and cultivating of the districts bedding areas.
You must possess good communication skills, have the ability to learn quickly and undertake a range of duties with minimum of supervision.
The nature of the position means that inevitably you will be required to work in all weather conditions. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided. &nbsp;
This is a permanent post, working 37 hours per week on a shift rota basis, to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with business need, including undertaking standby duties to cover out of hours work.

We’re looking for a dedicated and empathetic Housing Options Advisor to join our frontline housing service—playing a vital role in tackling homelessness and housing insecurity in our borough.

<h3>&nbsp;What You'll Do:</h3>
<ul>

Provide high-quality, customer-focused advice on housing options across public and private sectors&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Carry out thorough assessments of housing needs and deliver personalised plans to prevent or relieve homelessness
</li>
<li>
Act as a lifeline for households facing eviction, domestic abuse, or rough sleeping—helping them navigate to safe and secure accommodation
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with landlords, support agencies, and internal teams to reduce reliance on temporary accommodation
</li>
<li>
Issue robust statutory decisions that stand up to scrutiny and uphold best practices
</li>
<li>
Be a trusted point of contact—supporting some of our most vulnerable residents with dignity, respect, and unwavering resolve
</li>
</ul>
<h3>&nbsp;What You'll Bring:</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Proven experience in housing advice or homelessness prevention
</li>
<li>
Strong working knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 &amp; Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
</li>
<li>
Compassionate communication, expert negotiation, and sound judgement
</li>
<li>
Ability to manage complex cases, handle pressure, and deliver clear written decisions
</li>
<li>
A commitment to collaborative working and supporting wider emergency response efforts when needed
</li>

We are a team who enjoy being in the office and as we are a front facing team, our service works from the office 2 days a week as a minimum. To best support new starters with their learning, initially working from the office daily is a requirement for this role. This will be reviewed during the probationary period.&nbsp;
