Shift Pattern:&nbsp;Various shifts depending on the service. &nbsp;Generally between 9am and 5pm with shifts available 7 days per week.

The post holder will enhance the Street Scene in Braintree District, by carrying out the Council's enforcement responsibilities in respect of relevant environmental legislation and help to keep our District looking clean and green by undertaking a range of Street Scene activities, to contribute to improving the well-being and quality of life for residents and visitors in the District.The role is highly visible, and you will be required to carry out all aspects of enforcement including proactive and reactive investigations, supporting victims, collecting evidence, taking statements, issuing fixed penalty notices and writing reports.Experience: The successful applicant will be self-motivated, conscientious and enthusiastic, used to working in an outdoor environment and use their own initiative to work as part of a team to deal effectively with anti-social behaviour and environmental related crime in the Braintree District through prevention, detection and deterrents.You will have experience of undertaking enforcement action and procedures at all stages from informal warning to prosecution, have good knowledge of relevant legislation including working knowledge of PACE, CPIA and RIPA procedures. In addition, you will have experience of undertaking PACE interviews, giving evidence in court and experienced in handling stray dogs.You will need to hold a current driving licence, have excellent customer service skills, with a constructive, flexible approach and keen to learn new skills to provide and maintain high levels of performance. The Advice and Wellbeing Hub comprises a Social Work and OT pathways.&nbsp; The team takes all the new referrals into Adult Social Care for people 18 years upwards.&nbsp; It is a busy, supportive and friendly team, working with people of all ages and backgrounds and their families and carers. We use a Conversations Count strengths-based model to promote choice and control and achieve excellent outcomes. You will work with individuals who have been referred for support for up to 6 weeks, to maximise their independence in their own homes. Promoting choice and control and using a strength-based approach.

About the Role:
Your duties as Senior Social Worker include providing supervision to the Social Workers and Social Care Coordinators within the team and to undertake joint visits with other members of the team to support with knowledge sharing and skills development. You will also support the Team Manager in some aspects of managing the team as a whole and service development
The role involves you undertaking work using the Conversation Counts model, working on prevention and early support. Using your social work expertise, you will conduct Care Act assessments, safeguarding investigations, and Mental Capacity assessments, as well as facilitate best interest meetings. 
This role involves working with adults with diverse needs, including individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older adults, and those affected by substance or alcohol misuse. Additionally, you will provide information, advice, and support to carers, helping them navigate available resources and services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in Adult Social Care, delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions to individuals in their own homes. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
