Send Class Teacher - Willenhall Community Primary School

Send Class Teacher - Willenhall Community Primary School

Education
£32,916 - £51,048 per year
What is the job role?

We are seeking to appoint a teacher to work in our adapted provision. You will share our vision for high quality education for all our children.

Willenhall Community Primary is a large, friendly, community school in the City of Coventry.

The school has a culture of developing and rewarding potential through continuing professional development. We have the highest expectation of all of our staff and pupils, with a strong commitment to promoting their well-being. Our curriculum is based on value-led education with pupil involvement, enjoyment and achievement at its heart.

Interview Date: 13th July 2026

Who are we looking for?

The successful applicant will need to have:

  • Good classroom practice with high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
  • Commitment to inclusion and success for all pupils.
  • The ability to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum adapted for the needs of the children with SEND.
  • Knowledge of assessment for learning strategies and be able to use them effectively in the classroom.
  • Commitment to team-building and partnership with the whole school community.
  • The ability to create an inspiring and creative learning environment in which children thrive.
  • Motivation, energy and a flexible and innovative approach to learning.
  • Good subject knowledge.
  • Good understanding of SEND and inclusion.

Our workforce data shows that men and people from minority ethnic backgrounds are under-represented, we encourage applicants from these backgrounds to apply. This does not prevent individuals with or without other protected characteristics as set out within the Equality Act 2010 from applying for this post.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.

Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
