  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners (e.g., NHS, Local Resilience Forum, UKHSA, DHSC, DFE, HSE, and other enforcement bodies) to ensure effective information sharing and risk management.
  • Learning and Development: Identify, develop, and deliver learning and development opportunities on health, safety, and wellbeing topics to ensure managers have the required knowledge and skills.
  • Operational Management: Lead the operational management of health, safety & wellbeing service within Children & Families, Health and Care and Entrust, ensuring quality of service, commercial benefits, and supporting traded growth.

    • Substantial experience in creating and maintaining effective and influential networks that collaboratively shape and deliver better health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
    • Demonstrable understanding of the political context of service delivery and its challenges in the public sector, ensuring effective support to Elected Members, is also essential.
    • An effective and values-led leadership style that inspires, motivates, and empowers. Be a confident communicator, adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the council.
