Job Introduction

We’re recruiting a Social Worker to join Adult Social Care at Milton Keynes City Council. This is a rewarding role where you’ll work with adults with care and support needs, helping to assess risk, plan the right interventions and support people to achieve the outcomes that matter to them through a strengths-based approach. You’ll be part of a council that delivers over 200 services, works as one council and is focused on making Milton Keynes a better place to live by creating cleaner, safer and healthier communities, tackling social inequalities and supporting local people every day.

In this role, you’ll lead and coordinate complex and high-risk cases, including section 42 enquiries, while balancing a varied caseload and maintaining accurate records and reports. This post sits within a 24/7 organisation that delivers essential services and values clear communication, good judgement and a strong sense of accountability.

The Social Work progression scale applies to all non-management Social Work roles, with progression point 2 linked to completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.

At Milton Keynes Adult Social Care Services, we take pride in our supportive work culture and try to go that extra mile when it comes to investing in our colleagues.
