    Are you an experienced property professional with a strong track record in acquisitions, disposals, and strategic estate management?

    We are seeking a highly motivated Estates Manager to lead a specialist team responsible for delivering complex and high-value property transactions across West Northamptonshire Council’s extensive property portfolio which will include strategic acquisitions in support of wider regeneration programmes and the Councils investment estates as well as managing the disposal of surplus properties including large residential schemes for 300+ homes.

    Through the management of the Councils Property Strategy team, the Estates Manager will work closely with Senior officers from the Councils services to develop innovative property solutions to meet the current and transformational needs of the Council and services to deliver fit for purpose solutions that enable the Councils to be optimised to deliver the best possible outcomes for the residents of West Northamptonshire.

    What will you be doing?

    This role will lead the delivery of a varied and complex portfolio of property acquisitions and disposals across the Council’s estate. Working closely with the Head of Property Strategy and Estates, you will provide strategic property advice, manage high-value transactions and represent the Council on significant acquisition and disposal matters.

    You will lead the Council’s acquisition and disposal programme, securing properties to support regeneration and service transformation, while delivering complex disposals, including major residential development sites capable of generating capital receipts in excess of £10 million.

    You will also lead the Property Strategy team, engaging with senior officers from services across the Council to understand their current and transformational property needs. Through detailed analysis of complex data sets, you will seek to deliver innovative property solutions to meet those needs, working closely with teams across the Place and Assets Directorate on the delivery of those solutions to enhance service delivery.

    The role will also involve taking the lead on the continued development and delivery of the Council’s Estates Strategy and Asset Management Plan (AMP), the Councils 5-year Asset and Insurance Valuation programme and the delivery of key estates related activities including Assets of Community Value and the Voluntary, Community Social Enterprise and Faith Use of Assets (VCS). providing professional property advice to stakeholders and offering leadership and technical expertise within the Strategic Acquisitions & Disposals Team.

    We are looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor and Estates Professional with a proven track record of delivering complex acquisitions and disposal, delivering strategic asset management initiatives and securing significant capital receipts.
