    The role:

    Part-time opportunity: 21 hours per week over 3 days | Salary £40,777 - £46,142 pro rata

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Protection Compliance Officer join the public protection enforcement team. As the successful post holder, you will have a key role in undertaking a wide range of duties across the full range of the Regulatory and Licensing Service provision, this will include...

    • Weights & Measures
    • Product Safety
    • Scams and Fraud Prevention
    • Animal Feed

    Working closely with other enforcement agencies within Liverpool City Council and external partners such as the Police, HMRC and Border Force.

    Applicants should ideally have an ability to apply legal knowledge to resolve problems, ability, and willingness to lead and undertake investigations and attend court / committee proceedings.

    The successful applicant will work flexibly, regular evenings and weekends working will be required. Your contractual hours will be working with flexibility to suit the service area needs.

    As a fast-paced role we will require the post holder to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet strict deadlines. You should have good inter-personal and customer care skills and have experience in dealing with confrontational situations. You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and developing environment where you can have an input into managing change successfully.
