We are seeking a highly organised and focused Housing Compliance Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of statutory compliance across our housing stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely reporting for key safety areas such as gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene and lifts. You will work closely with contractors, internal teams, and residents to maintain compliance data, schedule inspections, and assist in meeting regulatory requirements. Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a fixed term Data Analyst for two years to join its central Business Intelligence &amp; Performance Team, supporting data analysis and reporting for the Adult Social Care service.
Technical experience and practical ability to analyse and report data using MS Excel, T-SQL, and Microsoft Power BI, are pre-requisite essentials. Importantly, we are looking for someone with prior experience of local government and data analysis that includes Adult Social Care.
You will be required to analyse data from the Council’s Adult Social Care case management system, LiquidLogic (System C Software) and other data sources; assist with statutory government returns; produce monthly performance reports; and respond to ad-hoc requests for data. Experience of using the LiquidLogic and or ContrOCC systems is highly desirable. You will also need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, to work closely with others in the Council’s Adult Social Care service area to help to drive data analysis and performance management.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics and enjoys problem solving. A degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.

A new national Building Safety Levy is being introduced in October this year. &nbsp;The post holder will have the opportunity to help put the systems for the management and collection of the levy in place and to be responsible for administering the assessment and collection of the levy.
The post holder will need to have the aptitude to help set up procedures for administering the levy and will need to have the ability to read plans and undertake calculations to assess the amount of payment to be made. Good analytical and accounting skills will be needed.
As the levy process is new, we do not expect applicants to have experience in this area, however, applicants will be expected to have significant experience in administrative roles, ideally within a Local Government or public sector setting.

You will need to be assertive as well as sympathetic, empathetic, and good at listening as this role also requires the ability to be able to deal with difficult telephone conversations.<h4>About the role</h4>The role is very varied and incorporates the following:<ul><li>Investigating clients’ accounts</li><li>Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (verbally and in writing)</li><li>Resolving queries</li><li>Recovering outstanding monies</li><li>Managing caseload of clients who Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) have provided care for.</li><li>Making sure payment is forthcoming, as well as credits.</li><li>Reviewing and monitoring caseloads making sure you are dealing with clients in a timely manner.</li><li>Running reports for your weekly caseload.</li><li>Running payment reports and updating your spreadsheets</li><li>Liaising with different stakeholders to get the results required.</li></ul><h4>About you</h4>Essential:<ul><li>Experience of working in a financial team</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbally and written with the ability to establish strong relationships.</li><li>Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Working as part of a team and individually</li><li>Ability to influence and negotiate.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.</li><li>Competent with using Microsoft applications such as excel, word and Outlook</li><li>Accurate and timely record keeping</li><li>Good time and diary management skills</li><li>Good interpersonal skills are a must as we encourage you to challenge and contribute to the identification for service improvement and increased efficiency.</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Knowledge of SAP, and other systems</li><li>Finance experience</li></ul>Central Debt Team is a great team to work within.&nbsp; It is really busy and can be challenging due to difficult conversations, but every day is different, and it is a really rewarding role.&nbsp; Each case is different, and you learn something new every day.
