The Post
The Council recently procured both an Integrated Waste Contract and a Grounds Maintenance Contract to provide key front-line services to Brent residents. The delivery of essential services like waste collection, waste processing, street cleansing, winter maintenance, maintaining Brent’s Parks and Green Spaces etc. sits at the heart of these two contracts. We are now looking to recruit to this exciting role to provide administration and contract support to the Contracts Manager and contribute towards providing an efficient waste collection and grounds maintenance service to Brent residents.&nbsp;
The postholder will support the contracts manager in facilitating and minuting contract meetings, maintaining and reviewing contract records including performance indicators, programme of works, carrying out financial transactions, liaising with different stakeholders and keeping all parties informed and updated of intended works.&nbsp;
The postholder will work closely with several contractors, internal and external partners, and our communities’ in identifying needs and trends for service improvement and to help achieve the Council’s Borough Plan priorities for A Cleaner, Greener Future.
The Person

The Post
Brent Council leads the way in working with residents, businesses, and stakeholders. We have built a reputation for working with communities in meaningful ways that strengthen and encourage communities to play an active part in shaping the borough.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community and Social Infrastructure Team, which is responsible for delivering and managing a comprehensive grants programme, ensuring grants are aligned to the Borough plan, deliver value for money and achieve positive outcomes that improve the lives of local people.
You will be responsible for leading the process of assessing, evaluating, and managing grants as well as, working closely with our Corporate Communications and Community Engagement Teams to increase participation in the programmes.
The work includes occasion evening meetings / community events, and you may occasionally be required to work during the weekend.&nbsp;
The Person
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who is passionate about working with and supporting the community, to ensure we deliver the best outcomes for residents. The post requires someone who comfortable and confident interacting with people and has effective communication skills. Someone who is proactive, can demonstrate initiative, is flexible and happy to work both individually and as part of a team.
A creative, solution focused mindset with the ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Experience of grants management and/or assessment, community engagement or public sector project delivery desirable. &nbsp;
