Learning Support Assistant
Hours: 21.25 hours per week (4.5 hours per day) - (inclusive of 15 minute unpaid break). Required for 5 days per week - 08:30 – 13:00/39 weeks per year
Salary:&nbsp;Scale 2 depending on experience (FTE £27,729 - £28,125 p.a.) Pro rata salary £2,978 - £3,021 p.a.
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking to increase the capacity to our school support team and are looking for an inspiring Learning Support Assistant with the necessary skills/experience or willingness to learn to work with our children. We require someone who has patience and will nurture the children in their care, get to know them but also be firm and consistent with expectations.&nbsp;
Support and training will be provided by the ‘in-house’ support team as well as through the local authority.
The successful candidate will:

We are looking to appoint a SEND Learning Support Assistant to work as part of our friendly and dedicated SEND support team. The role will involve working closely to support children with speech and language, social communication/ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH needs. Knowledge of SEND practice and experience of working with young children with SEN in a school setting is desired.
We are looking for a person who:

<li>Has an understanding of children with SEND needs</li>
<li>Is an effective communicator</li>
<li>Is reliable and discreet</li>

<li>Is able to show initiative to organise tasks and activities</li>
<li>Is able to build positive relationships with students, parents and other staff</li>
<li>Is keen to learn and develop their own practice/skills in order to improve the outcomes for a child with SEN</li>
