Job Title:&nbsp;Female Recovery Worker&nbsp;
Location:&nbsp;Based within Croydon. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.
Salary:&nbsp;£27,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, working 12.5 hour shifts on a rota 08:00 - 20:30, including a break. You may be required to work outside these hours as well as bank holidays in line with the needs of the service.
<h4>About the Role</h4>
We're hiring a Recovery Worker to join the team in Croydon which is a 24/7 accommodation service which provides high support to females with forensic mental health needs, complex needs and dual diagnosis. In this role, you will be at the forefront of providing person centred support, to help our residents overcome personal challenges, and meet their desired goals/outcomes. You will do this through various support plans and interventions, running and participation of activities, and working alongside various internal and external partners.&nbsp;
Key Responsibilities Include:
<ul>
<li>Being the main support worker for a group of residents, helping to create and update their support and risk plans.</li>
<li>Plan, run and engage in activities such as games, celebrations, and movies or out of service activities such as planned days out to encourage social interaction while confidently lone working and managing the service.</li>
<li>Help residents understand their rights, build confidence and become more independent as they return to the community.</li>
<li>Notice when someone’s mental health is getting worse and take action to stop things from reaching a crisis.</li>
<li>Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns when needed.</li>
<li>Support residents with taking their medication and keep accurate records. Build good working relationships with colleagues and outside agencies.</li>

About the Role: We are looking to recruit someone with a full HGV Class 2/C &amp; E driving licence to help us cover a variety of duties within Refuse &amp; Recycling. You will be working towards or willing to undertake CPC training.
As a Reserve Driver you will undertake the collection of waste and recycling within the borough of Reigate and Banstead. It is essential you have a flexible approach to the work and hours. Your main duty will be driving for us although when required, you must be willing to work as a loader covering any service within the Neighbourhood Services team.
Some of the duties include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake either working alone or as part of a team, the collection of Waste and Recycling services at a variety of locations throughout the Borough.</li>
<li>Use the waste management systems (Bartec) to complete rounds and report issues.</li>
<li>Receive instructions regarding exempt collections, special arrangements and specific collection points and ensuring these are carried out.</li>
<li>When disposing of Waste, abide by the rules set out by the allocated transfer station.</li>
<li>Advise the public on the Borough’s Refuse, Recycling and Cleansing regime where necessary.</li>
<li>If no driving duties are available, undertake loading duties and undertake ad hoc duties as required, within the scope of the job.</li>

About the Person:

<li>Full clean driving licence.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will have the commitment to start the day at 6am and work a 45-hour week Monday to Friday.</li>
<li>Willing to train and supervise a small team.</li>

Revenues and Benefits Compliance Officer 
Are you an experienced fraud Officer with a good understanding of Revenues and Benefits Service? Do you have an eye for details and a passion for ensuring accuracy in financial investigation? If so, we want to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Revenues and Benefits team at Hastings Borough Council.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures relating to Housing Benefits, Business Rates, and Council Tax Reduction. You will investigate discrepancies, review all reductions, discounts, and exemptions to ensure that they are granted correctly, where incorrect, the reductions, discounts and exemptions are removed or reduced accordingly and where appropriate penalties are imposed in line with policies and legislation. To review all fraud referrals within Revenues and Benefits team for veracity and decide whether these should be pursued. Collate and prepare Benefit Fraud Referrals for further investigation and prosecution for the DWP and to review National Fraud Initiative data matching exercise.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Council Tax or a Benefits Section and have knowledge of Council Tax and Welfare Benefits Law and Procedures. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and an effective team player, with excellent customer care and communication skills.
