Mapesbury School are looking for an experienced SENCO who will take on a pivotal role in determining the strategic development of SEND policy and provision across the school. The role holds day-to-day responsibility for coordinating SEND support, ensuring each pupil's specific needs are understood and met.
What you’ll be doing:

<li>Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.</li><li>Coordinate the day-to-day support for pupils with SEND, ensuring the correct provision is in place.</li><li>Implement and monitor the school’s SEND policy, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.</li><li>Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to support pupils’ individual needs.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with families, offering advice, support, and guidance.</li><li>Regularly analyse SEND data and provide clear, effective reports on progress.</li><li>Ensure the school’s provision for SEND is inclusive at all levels and supports pupils' educational, health, and social care needs.</li></ul>
What we’re looking for:

Who are we?
Mapesbury School is a new Special Educational Needs school opening in Spring 2025 in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school will support children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions.
