The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Support Worker to join our Consult Team. The Consult Team are responsible for supporting the well being and stability for our Children in Care, through therapeutic interventions provided to children and their care givers.&nbsp;
As a Family Support Worker you will work intensively with a small number of families, using evidence-based methods of intervention to support positive change for children, young people and their families.
You will form purposeful relationships with families, working in a strengths-based way, using Signs of Safety to support families to keep their children safe, develop their parenting skills and improve school attendance. You will also support families to access appropriate specialist support, such as drug and alcohol services, or mental health services etc as necessary. You will work as part of a team providing specialist interventions and also provide advocacy for the family as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Success will be measured by positive outcomes for young people such as improved relationships between young people and their carers or family, safeguarding young people, engaging young people in learning, attendance, and generally improving behaviour, health and wellbeing for young people, and by raising participation in employment, education and training post 16.</li>
<li>Help deliver evidence-based parenting programmes and groups for children, as required.</li>
<li>Work as outlined in the plan for the child, young person or family (Children in Care). Agree with families and other agencies the aims and the purpose of your involvement, setting out, clear outcomes and improvements expected from the intervention.</li>
<li>Complete accurate and up-to-date records in line with our recording policy.</li>

The Rough Sleeping Team :

<li>Identify and support individuals that are homeless or at risk of rough sleeping who present with care and support needs ensuring accessibility to all members of the community regardless of the immigration status. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Holistically engage with people in a variety of settings, including ‘on the street’, in community settings such as day centres, HEAL House and in more structured settings such as the Civic Centre. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Creatively find ways to engage with clients whose care and support needs are a barrier to them accessing services. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Complete Care Needs and Capacity Assessments, along with Addenbrooke’s Cognitive Examination III (ACE‐III) for the detection of dementia and mild cognitive impairment where necessary.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Work with mental health services and Drug and alcohol services to create a multi-agency approach. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Complete support plans and additional referrals where necessary.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Both KCC and GBC will be working within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Policy. &nbsp; Both agencies will co-operate to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults though this framework guided by their own and each other’s policies and procedures. This includes safeguarding and self-neglect.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide support to those under the RSI Service who have been identified as having care and support needs, whether they are actively rough sleeping, in supported/temporary accommodation or are housed but their mental health or care needs are attributing to them being at risk of homelessness. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Attend Early Morning Outreach sessions where necessary, particularly to engage non-engagers who have been identified as having care and support needs.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Participate in the Bi-monthly and yearly outreach support. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Record and provide quarterly monitoring returns to GBC.</li>

We’re looking for an exceptional and motivated graduate surveyor to support the Knowsley Business Park Service and the Council’s ambitious Major Development Programme.
As a graduate surveyor within the Major Development Team you will assist in the management and development of the Council’s property assets at Knowsley Business Park on a range of property matters including:&nbsp;
Property management including all landlord and tenant matters
Property acquisitions and disposals.
Capital and rental valuations
Inspection and measurement to RICS professional standards for a variety of purposes.
Implementing the Council’s plans for the business park including liaising with other Council professional services to ensure cohesive management of the park.
Advice to the Council on a full range of property matters including the preparation of reports approving property transactions.
Develop an understanding of the council’s policies, plans and strategies and how effective management of the business park can support these.
Maintain and develop property management systems as required, supplying and maintaining appropriate and accurate property information.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the business park, developing relationships with the businesses and tenants and promoting active management of the park.
Practical training leading to the professional competencies and MRICS qualification.
Ability to work as part of a small team or independently if required and to develop relationships with other council departments.
You will hold a recognised degree leading to full membership of the RICS prepared to undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.

We are looking for an Integrated Support Workers to join our Community Care Service, supporting the coordination of care and support for people receiving services from Micare, with a particular focus on those receiving support from multiple Health and Social care services, such as those at the end of their life.
About the role…
<ul>
<li>Acting as a single point of contact for the person receiving services, removing duplication and ensuring the person only tells their story once.</li>
<li>Liaising with a multi-disciplinary team across Health and Social care services to bring together a range of support to one place.</li>
<li>Support the coordinators with implementing care and support across all pathways to include Crisis Response, Reablement, D2A, C2A, safety net and complex care. This will also include first visits assessments, which means you will be required to be available during your working hours to go out into the community at short notice.</li>
<li>Cover calls for Micare if there is a need and attend meetings both face to face and virtually when required.</li>
</ul>
About you…
<ul>
<li>An experienced social care worker, you will be passionate about care at the end of life, empathetic, caring and responsive to people’s needs, wishes and preferences.</li>
<li>NVQ 3/QCF in Social Care or willingness and ability to achieve within agreed timescale.</li>
<li>Flexible in working patterns in order to ensure the needs of the people receiving support are met. Your working hours will include weekend working every other week.</li>
<li>You will be able to work from various locations across Rutland to include People’s homes, Rutland Memorial Hospital, Uppingham Surgery, Catmose House and Oakham Enterprise Park. Additional locations may be included as per service development.</li>
<li>You need to have a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle during working hours 
</li>
</ul>
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
The Integrated Support Worker interviews will be held in August. Exact details to be confirmed.
