You will support children in care aged 16+ whilst you prepare them for transition to a personal advisor at 18 and into independence.As a senior practitioner in our 16 plus Care Leavers Service you will support the team manager within the team and provide high quality case advice and guidance to colleagues focusing on the wellbeing of children in care and care experienced young people and supporting them on their journey to independence. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of others either through acting as a Practice Assessor for students on placement, or contributing to training activities in a specialist area. Flood Risk and Drainage Officer

The post holder will be required to implement the provisions of relevant legislation by means of appropriate enforcement so as to achieve an improvement to the street scene environment. Employability Sessional Tutor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medway Family Solutions Service as part of the wider Family Solutions agenda for the position of a Family Solutions Practitioner.Family Solutions work holistically with families with multiple and complex needs to enable them to see their strengths and build upon these to make positive changes to their lives. This will be achieved through the Early Help Worker providing both practical and specialist advice to the family as well as acting as a lead co-ordinator for any additional support services. Family Solutions Practitioner

We are currently recruiting 2 full time to contribute to the delivery of our highly effective AMHP Team, based within Adult Social Care. The service is delivered using a strength based, personalised approach to assessments, ensuring the individual remains at the centre of all interventions. You will be required to act as an Approved Mental Health Professional providing a statutory Mental Health Act Assessment service, encompassing all client groups and including the provision of advice, in order to meet the immediate needs of the individuals involved and to achieve the best outcome. You will also need to provide precise information to service users and others about their rights in relation to MHA interventions and facilitate access to appropriate advocacy and advice networks including the IMHA and IMCA services.The successful candidates will be responsible for triaging referrals, allocation of assessments, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and chairing the daily allocations meeting on a regular basis. This role will also involve undertaking the role of Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged patients to fulfil our statutory responsibility for clients who are subject to Part 3 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007). The successful applicant will also be responsible for the supervision and appraisal process of newly qualified AMHP’s in line with the statutory requirements, as well as the supervision and support of staff undertaking the AMHP training. You will need to maintain an awareness of changes in mental health theories, legislation, and Medway Council policies, local and agency practices, in order to disseminate knowledge and contribute to the delivery of a high standard AMHP service.
