The Housing Solutions service at Thurrock works on the frontline of homelessness in Thurrock, providing housing and homelessness advice to those in need of accommodation.

We seek a driven, enthusiastic and keen individual who is looking to make a difference to vulnerable people and help to reduce rough sleeping in Thurrock.

You will be key to co-ordinate actions and support to those vulnerable people who are sleeping rough and link with partner agencies including Health, Community Safety, Social Care and voluntary agencies to bring a targeted approach to those who are rough sleeping. You will act as a vital resource that provides information, advice and guidance about rough sleeping within Thurrock and develop clear pathways and processes to help rough sleepers transition off the streets and into more settled accommodation.

You will have experience of working with rough sleepers and have an in-depth knowledge of the factors that contribute to individuals being at risk of rough sleeping and also of those that are entrenched.

A great communicator and negotiator with strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of housing and homelessness.
