Assistant HR Officer, Employee Relations
County Hall, Hertford (countywide travel may be required on occasion)
Salary Range: £19,171 pa progressing to £20,344 pa (pro rata for part time hours)
Full Time Hours (Part Time Considered), Permanent Contract
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant HR Officer to join our busy Employee Relations and Policy Team and assist in the delivery of a business and solution focussed HR Employee Relations and Policy service. This could be an excellent entry level role into HR.
You will provide support to the Employee Relations and Policy Team, dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, answering telephone calls and providing information as a first point of contact. You will also undertake a full range of administrative duties in a timely and effective manner.
Competent utilisation of software packages such as Microsoft Office to prepare letters and documentation is required. The role also entails regular updating and managing of computer databases and spreadsheets as well as the compilation of reports and Management Information.
You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and a good eye for detail. Good written and spoken English as well as IT skills are essential. You will be studying for CPP/CIPD or equivalent or have equivalent experience.
