Sefton LSCB Business team is a small team but has huge energy and drive to co-ordinate an effective partnership to better safeguard our children and young people. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced individual to the position of Quality Assurance Officer. This role is pivotal in ensuring that evidence of the impact of partnership safeguarding activity is systematically embedded and shared with all partner with a focus on quality and innovation. Job requirements: This position requires high level multi-agency quality assurance and performance management skills and a enhanced ability to work effectively across a number of agencies and partnerships.
The key objective of the role is to quality assess the safeguarding activities across the Board’s partnerships to ensure consistency across the borough and to report key areas of concern, as well as good practice. The post holder will be responsible for a range of audit activities. They will be a technical expert in their field.
In addition, you will support an effective service wide challenge to any safeguarding concerns and response to changing legislation, developing policy, procedures and guidance which reflect best practice nationally and locally. The post-holder will have a thorough understanding of safeguarding children legislation, processes, systems and the role of partner agencies in safeguarding children. This will include collation and dissemination of learning from quality assurance work, ensuring the effective delivery of multi-agency safeguarding quality and service improvements This position works alongside the LSCB Business Manager to enable the LSCB to fulfil its responsibilities. The Board has an annual programme of work in place each year from which you will produce quarterly reports pertaining to safeguarding outcomes in Sefton.
The Quality Assurance Officer is also required to produce and develop performance intelligence to inform and evaluate performance for the Independent Chair and sub groups of the Board. . To be a successful candidate, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be personally resilient and above all, be passionate about demanding the best outcomes for children & young people.
