HES Catering Services are the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough Of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award winning meals and services. We are extremely proud in supplying a wide range of high quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough. Newtons School Kitchen Supervisor

Grade 4 £23607-£25809pro rata

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the catering service within a designated site.  The postholder reports to:  Area  Manager or higher graded operative.   The postholder has line management responsibility for:  All on–site catering staff.   The postholder will be required to work:  As defined on Staffing Profile   27.00 hours per week

Ability to undertake food preparation following a menu pattern and recipe file.Ability to operate basic industrial kitchen equipment.To be numerate.Ability to handle difficult situations in a calm, diplomatic and competent manner.To be a good communicator.Ability to organise a team.
