We have an opportunity for a pro-active and experienced HR professional to join Horsham District Council’s HR & OD Team to provide advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance but also able to adopt a business partner approach with your key stakeholders to support their service area transformation through project work and assessing the impact on people as part of that transformation. You will also play a key role in developing managers within your client group, so they are able to successfully deliver change through their people.
This post requires a confident, self-motivated and organised individual, with a can do approach to work. You will easily be able to identify your own work priorities whilst managing a high caseload. You will be able to apply your own judgement to the majority of casework, seeking advice from HR colleagues on more complex matters. You will not be afraid to make informed decisions that may impact on our people, including recommendations for managed exits.
Previous experience of working in a unionised environment would be an advantage, as would previous experience of Hay Job Evaluation.
You will also support HR colleagues with the HR planned policy review programme.
Excellent communication skills are essential for building successful working relationships with Heads of Service and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
In return, you would get 27 days annual leave pro rata, generous pension scheme, subsidised restaurant, childcare voucher scheme plus other benefits. As this is a part-time role, we are able to offer some flexibility in terms of days/hours worked.
For more information about the role, please email Sarah Hunter, Senior HR & OD Adviser on email@example.com.
