About the role
At the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) - Northamptonshire, we have a clear goal to serve the people, meet local needs and deliver a police and fire service fit for the 21st century. Through innovation and collaborative working, our vision is to make Northamptonshire a safer place.
The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire, Mr Stephen Mold has published a Police and Crime Plan that outlines his priorities for delivering a safer Northamptonshire.

In response to the Police and Crime Plan, the OPFCC has created a number of inter-related portfolios, led by Directors to ensure effective delivery of the PFCC’s responsibilities and priorities. This post is a lead delivery manager for one of these portfolios.
Your portfolio will cover areas that will include:
· Modern slavery and human trafficking
· Rural crime
· Road safety
· Serious and organised crime / gangs
· Crime reduction programmes and initiatives
This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to take a leading role in a range of community safety activities and initiatives, involving the OPFCC, Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and wider statutory and non-statutory partners. You will be expected to identify and develop good, evidenced-based practice in the design, implementation and evaluation of activity related to your portfolio. You will also consider creative and innovative solutions to identified issues and areas of concern.
We are looking for a true collaborator and influencer who is able to take forward strategies from conception to successful delivery through partnership working.
Whilst ideally you will have a background in crime reduction, community safety or criminal-justice, your background is less important than your ability to work in partnership to deliver tangible outcomes. This is what will define your career to date - if you can evidence this then we very much welcome an application from you.
