Do you have a proven track record in the effective management of a catering service? Are you calm, resilient and professional with excellent customer service skills? If so, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a Café Team Manager to join their team.

About the role

As Café Team Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Café, and the team of Café supervisors and casual staff, located within The Old Moat Garden Centre. The role will involve the formulation, costing and delivery of a Café menu and offers, ordering, stock control, financial reconciliation, food safety and customer care as well as team management and wellbeing service delivery.

The role includes supporting individuals with mental health problems who will be participating in the running of the café. You will also be helping to manage referrals, conduct needs assessments and inductions, and train our clients through a programme of work placements and volunteering.

Our ideal candidate

In addition to your proven management experience in food retail contract catering or a café/restaurant, you will also have experience of selling products or services, negotiating supplier contracts and employee supervision. An excellent communicator, verbal and written, with strong motivational, time management and organisational skills, you will also be able to use your own initiative and work effectively under pressure.

A commitment to excellent customer service and an Advanced Food Hygiene qualification are also essential, while an interest in, and commitment to, working with people with mental health problems would be advantageous.
