22.5 Hours, Permanent Contract

About you:
*A recognised qualification in petroleum enforcement or currently undertaking study or a commitment to undertaking study in order to obtain the relevant qualification. BTEC Professional Qualification (Level 4) Certification / Diploma in Petroleum Legislation
*Experience of working with minimal supervision and on own initiative
*Practical experience of reading and interpreting drawings of a technical nature
*A full driving licence and means of transport
*Physically capable of accessing confined spaces via a ladder and/or inspection hatch

Your duties will be:
To undertake a full range of petroleum-related regulatory activities in accordance with HCC policy and guidelines. This includes assessing proposed petroleum installations, auditing petroleum arrangements in premises and giving advice to those making enquiries regarding petroleum matters

Responsibilities also include:
*To attend meetings in the office and on site, to discuss and approve proposals for premises subject to the Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014 and other appropriate legislation
*To inspect petroleum installations on a risk-based schedule to ensure compliance with current legislation
*To oversee construction work and alterations, including testing of installations, at premises subject to petroleum legislation
*To undertake environmental searches relating to sites and consider technical information relating to environmental risks
