ABOUT THE ROLE
If you’re looking for a new Property Surveyor role where you can make a difference to thousands of people, look no further than the Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team.
They’re seeking a surveyor who is as passionate about people as they are about property, who will seize this career-defining opportunity with passion, energy and a high attention to detail.
You will have extensive housing and project experience to help support those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy to reach long term stability, as they deliver their vision of a model 21st century social housing estate.
The department you will be working in is responsible for housing, community development, and improving the lives of local residents. This includes landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes. A significant part of work is focussed on creating stronger communities, by working with local residents on recovery following the Grenfell tragedy.
Whilst undertaking regular duties such as property and site inspections, compliance and asset management, you’ll also be expected to contribute to the development of service plans and analyse information, informing how you provide your professional advice in complex situations. You’ll need to manage a portfolio of projects and reviews and lead on specific projects as required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work hand-in-hand with local residents to take on the challenges of the Grenfell tragedy and tackle complex and diverse issues as they emerge.
As an expert surveyor, you’ll use your extensive experience in housing, projects and regeneration settings to deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.
Experience of negotiating with contractors will be crucial in achieving desired objectives, as will having a keen attention for detail when working with robust data.
As well as being able to achieve team goals and address performance issues, you’ll need to buy in and commit to the service, continuously updating both your own and your team’s professional experience.
