Business Planning Manager

We are looking for a Business Planning Manager who is able to bring their strong leadership and corporate planning skills to support LeO in delivering high quality services.

The role

The Legal Ombudsman operates in a challenging business environment which requires the effective use of business management techniques to deliver a set of high quality services within constrained financial boundaries.

This role will work closely with the Director of Corporate Services and Management team. The successful candidate will be expected to co-ordinate, draft and interpret management information and KPI’s for the organisation, analyse business performance and co-ordinate LeO’s risk reporting mechanisms.

In addition you will be expected to oversee the preparation, review and monitoring of the Corporate Business Plan, liaise with colleagues responsible for Strategy, budget and People plans and be responsible for periodically reviewing our business continuity plan.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, facilitation and influencing skills and be able to work in line with corporate values and behaviours. You will have a proven track record of developing staff and be able to work effectively with senior managers.

It is essential you have experience in business planning and operating/developing performance management frameworks. You will need to be able to manage risk effectively, have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be capable of managing and delivering change.

In addition you must be able to work independently and be highly organised in balancing a number of priorities.

This role will also include managing a small team who are responsible for providing support across LeO. Therefore previous experience in managing and developing people is essential to this role.
