Technology Account Manager

Starting Salary: £37,858 pa progressing to £40,619 pa

We are looking for a high caliber Technology Account Manager to join our forward thinking Technology team. The account management role is accountable for the day to day management of the Technology service relationship with key Council functions and business areas. This post acts as an interface between the Technology service, Council Departments and partner organisations. In this role the successful candidate will work with the business to ensure smooth and effective engagement with central technology teams, partners and processes.
The candidate will need to understand the business drivers for the department and work with them to ensure the successful implementation of Technology solutions, in conjunction with senior managers in the department and partner organisations.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the 3rd party project service partner delivers projects to agreed milestones and budget as agreed by the department and the Technology service. To act as an escalation point for troubled projects and will advise ICT Management colleagues of any issues in delivering projects to the department.
Expectations are high, so you will need to be a strong candidate with extensive experience. The ideal candidate will need to understand the dynamics of the stakeholder(s) and work to leverage technology for the benefits of the organisation; whilst maintaining the control and protocols necessary to ensure the delivery of robust reliable and secure services.
