An opportunity has arisen for 2 posts within the Rents and Welfare team in the Adults Housing and Health directorate. The posts are for 37 hours per week and will be to lead a team on the daily operations within the service.

The Housing Rents and Welfare team are responsible for approximately 10,000 social housing tenancies with an annual income of around £54m. This is crucial to the income service and if not collected, housing would not be able to deliver services to our residents.

You will have a proven ability to identify and implement improvements that increase arrears collection and the ability to build strong working relationships with other departments and teams within the council and externally.

You will possess excellent communication skills at all levels, will be resilient, tactful and demonstrate a commitment to delivering quality services to our residents.

The role requires previous experience of Income collection and arrears enforcement with a strong understanding of a local authority landlords obligation.
