Are you an experienced and qualified fire safety professional?
We are seeking to appoint three Protection Managers who will bring commitment, passion and experience to our organisation, can establish effective partnership relationships and build internal understanding and capability so that our protection activities access and target premises that present the highest risk to the local community.
As a Protection Manager, you will be responsible for a team delivering fire safety audits and inspections to assess compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and other relevant legislation, and supporting businesses to understand and comply with their statutory duties.
You will need to support, develop and lead your teams on complex fire safety issues and engage with other regulators and stakeholders within the fire safety sector.
Additionally, where fires safety compliance is not achieved you will be required to apply and support the enforcement of fire safety legislation and where appropriate any subsequent legal activity that may be required.
Working as part of a Hub Management Team, you will provide leadership and management across the Hub, delivering Local Safety Plans to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
The right candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety) order 2005 and other associated legislation, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, be an effective communicator able to advise and support, and be suitably experienced and qualified, having achieved a Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety, or equivalent. Applicants dedicated to the Grey Book conditions of service will be required to be a competent Watch Manager.
Salary – Grade 6: £37,849 to £42,683 per annum or Station Manager A: £39,374 to £40,556 per annum.
Full-time (37 hours per week) or Day Duty System
The roles will be based in our Service Delivery Hubs in:
- Maidenhead (East)
- Newsham Court, Calcot, Reading. (West)
