Building Surveyor (Property Services)
£30,560 - £36,806 inclusive of Outer Fringe Allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Asset Management team within the Property Services (Housing) department.
You will be part of a highly driven, professional team responsible for the management and delivery of various projects to the councils 9,000 housing stock. Carrying out site visits to diagnose, specify and deliver works via external procurement or through existing long-term partnering agreements, you will be highly skilled in the area of construction defects and project management.
In addition to holding a relevant technical qualification you must have good working knowledge of building defects and specification writing. You will need to work in partnership with our contractors to ensure that these projects are successfully delivered to agreed standards, within budget and on time. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of performance management to ensure that quality and value for money is achieved at all times. You will also play a key role in the monitoring, updating and delivery of our Asset Management Strategy.
It is essential that you are an effective communicator with experience of working within a contract environment and passionate about delivering excellent customer service to our residents. Working alongside the other members of the Property Services team you will ensure that all contractual obligations placed on the Council or its contractors are met. Computer literacy and the ability to plan and prioritise workloads are essential requirements of this role.

You will need a full driving license and use of a vehicle on a daily basis for which a mileage allowance will be paid.
