We are looking to recruit a part time Reception Officer to work at our temporary accommodation service at Birkbeck Lodge. Birkbeck Lodge provides temporary accommodation to residents and families in Haringey. The service also provides emergency housing.

The Reception Officers have a varied workload including the provision of an effective, secure and welcoming environment for residents. They are responsible for managing the reception service including dealing with general enquiries, booking in procedures, dealing with anti-social behaviour and emergency solutions.

Reception Officers act as a point of contact between residents and Homes for Haringey Services. Reception Officers provide advice and information and help to ensure vulnerable residents receive appropriate support.

Experience in housing or a similar role is helpful but not essential as full training will be given. We are more interested in individuals with a talent for customer service, an ability to organise their own workload to meet targets and a commitment to teamwork.

It is important that you are a strong communicator and possess excellent verbal and written skills.
The role will see you work on a rota basis. Shifts are Monday - Sunday, working 18 hours per week. Shifts cover the core service times between the hours of 0645 - 2215. You may be required to work at our neighbouring locations at Broadwater Lodge, N17 and Whitehall Street, N17.
