Thurrock Council's Housing Solutions team are looking for a new team member to join this dynamic team that serves the community.
You will be a member of the housing solutions team interviewing and dealing with members of the general public who are threatened with homelessness. You will carry a caseload and offer advice and assistance on a range of housing options to prevent homelessness. You will need to liaise with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies and be able to complete detailed casework and be experienced in making homeless decisions.
A good knowledge of homeless legislation and landlord and tenant law is essential. You must have at least one year's experience of providing advice on housing related issues and face to face interviewing of members of the general public.
