Highways Engineer

Salary: £28,363 - £33,920 per annum

37 Hours per Week

Working within a fast evolving Highways and playing a pivotal role in the management of the road network. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of helping to maintain the Highway function in help the broader Highways Team. Working within a team of dedicated, skilled professionals you will have a key role in assisting the Highways Team in delivering the modernisation agenda for the network management function.

Main responsibilities;

To assist with the investigation, design, planning programming and implementation of schemes within the Transport and Highways Delivery Programme.

Key skills & experience required;

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· The aptitude to work on your own initiative

· The aptitude to learn / use specialist work related software programmes

· A willingness to learn about all aspects of highway engineering associated with a highway authority
