More Information

Planning Lawyer

Are you looking to join a committed and ambitious Legal Service? Are you looking for a genuinely flexible role that allows for a healthy work life balance?

If so, we could have the role you’ve been waiting for.

About the Role

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council are looking for an outstanding legal professional to act as the council’s technical lead in all legal planning matters.

As the successful candidate you will support the growing legal team with Planning work. This would include routine transactional type matters as well as advice and support for complex projects and policy issues, all working towards achieving the Council’s ambitious commercial agenda.

In return for your hard work and dedication we can offer you a level of flexibility not often seen in other roles. We understand that each person’s needs are different, so we are open to discussing what flexibility means to you. Compressed hours, remote working and flexible working are all possible in this role so you can find the balance that really works for you.

About the Person

To be successful in this role you will be a self-motivated individual with proven experience of working in a Planning lawyer role. As well as this you will have excellent communication and drafting skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and strong attention to detail.

Staff Benefits

In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will offer support in continuing your personal and career development, in addition to providing a wide range of employment linked benefits.

We provide you with competitive annual leave, and contribute 15% towards the LGPS pension scheme. You will also have access to a range of discounts including local and high street stores, and salary sacrifice schemes including a cycle lease scheme, and ‘Better’ leisure centre membership.

Additional Information

We wish to make the application process as straightforward as possible, so we just ask that you upload your CV and provide further information against a couple of specific questions.
