Here at Central Bedfordshire Council, we want to make sure that our residents have the support and advice they need to lead fulfilling lives. To support them we provide benefit information to our customers who have care services and determine what they should contribute to that care service. You’ll find your greatness as you work closely with colleagues and customers to make the financial assessment process run as smoothly as possible.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the bookings process and calendars for the Community Finance Advisers, arranging visits for customers who are receiving care services and sending out forms for the Financial Assessments. You will liaise with customers via telephone, letter and on occasions, face-to-face. You will assist in gathering financial information and evidence from clients to support the financial assessment process for care services and advise them on the charging process.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills to liaise with our clients or their representatives and care management teams. The successful candidate will be customer focused, organised and able to work independently but also work collaboratively and be a supportive team player.
