Senior Social Worker, WISH Team, Adult Social Care 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment team which is part of Wokingham Integrated Social Care and Health (WISH) service. We are a supportive and established service and offer a good induction programme, quality supervision on a regular basis, and excellent pathway opportunities for CPD including BIA (LPS) training. 
 
The post holder will need to have experience in working with adults in a statutory setting, and have been qualified for a minimum of 2 years. They will undertake referrals and assessments to establish eligibility for a range of Adult Social Care services in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation. The role involves working with adults with a broad range of needs including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older people and people with dementia. It also involves completing Carers Assessments and providing information, advice and support to Carers. 
 
Carrying out Mental Capacity Assessments, leading on Safeguarding investigations, chairing Best Interests meetings and Safeguarding Strategy meetings will also be part of this role. The post holders will be responsible for supervising other members of the team, signing off their work and conducting annual Appraisals. We are an innovative, forward thinking service, and are currently exploring new ways of working, so you will need to be flexible and able to embrace and support others through change. 
 
A car driver is essential as we cover a rural as well as urban area.
