St Michael’s Church of England High School is a school with an extremely bright future. Number on roll and results over the last five years have seen dramatic rises.
We are an 11-18 mixed Comprehensive School of around 680 students situated in a delightful position on the northern edge of Crosby.
A Pastoral Support Administrator is required to work 36 hours per week, with a start time of 8.00am. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to a fluctuating workload. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively whilst working under pressure, in a fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the school's first response pupil absence system and act as the coordinator for the Pupil Attendance Panels throughout the year. They will liaise with the School based Attendance Officer in the administration of Fixed Penalty Notices and minute attendance meetings.
You will manage busy diaries, emails, other communications, servicing committees and meetings, prioritising competing demands. You may also support other senior officers in the School as required. You will assist in the planning and preparation of School events. The postholder will be required to provide administration support to the Assistant Headteacher and Pastoral Teams, as well as provide essential cover in the main office.
Experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word is essential. Experience of SIMS is desirable.
The postholder will need to undertake relevant training in order to be a designated person to administer First Aid.
There is a requirement to work up to ten days during school holidays (additional hours payable) to provide cover in the school office.
