St Michael’s Church of England High School is a school with an extremely bright future. Number on roll and results over the last five years have seen dramatic rises.

We are an 11-18 mixed Comprehensive School of around 680 students situated in a delightful position on the northern edge of Crosby.

The Governors are looking to appoint a Premises Officer who can contribute to our mission statement.

The ideal person will:

  • be friendly and a team worker
  • have excellent communication skills
  • be adaptable
  • have a broad knowledge of school’s activities and how their role can contribute to its value and ethos

Main duties will include security and safety of the premises including on call, porterage, building and site maintenance, maintenance of furnishings, fixtures, plant and heavy equipment within the school location.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate commitment, display initiative, understand the importance, or have a working knowledge of health and safety, security and hygiene within a school setting. A flexible approach to working hours is necessary as a shift system is in operation. The postholder will be required to work evenings and weekends as required. The ability to drive the school minibus is desirable. A First Aid qualification is also desirable, however training will be available.
