Planning Customer Contact Officer

Medway Council’s Planning Service is a busy Planning department with an ambitious regeneration programme.

The successful candidate will work within our busy planning validation team ensuring all initial contact from customers is recorded and dealt with.  

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who is able to manage their own workload. You will need to be organised and have excellent attention to detail. 

Essential qualifications/experience –

Good general level of education to GCSE or equivalent, including English and Maths.

Ability to manage time effectively

Desirable qualifications/experience-

Previous experience of working in a planning environment including using the Town and Country Planning Act

Previous experience of working in a customer services environment

An understanding of local government and the services provided

Applicants must be able to demonstrate all essential requirements as listed in the job profile.
