Asbestos Compliance Advisor (M383)

Permanent full time post (37 hours).

We are looking for a dynamic and customer focussed Asbestos Compliance Advisor to join our Repairs and Investment Team.

 Reporting to the Compliance Manager you will play a lead role in the successful implementation and delivery of our asbestos management plan. This includes supervision of or asbestos surveys and removal contract, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and current asbestos regulations. You will also provide asbestos advice and guidance to the repairs and investment team

With the ability to successfully work in partnership, you will ensure that our tenants’ objectives around high quality, communication, and customer care are met. You will ensure that programmes are delivered in line with agreed budgets, and that key performance indicators are met.

The role requires the candidates to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the current asbestos regulations and hold a suitable asbestos survey and management qualification.

With a population of over 171,000, Charnwood is one of the largest district councils in the country in terms of the number of residents. The borough sits centrally between the three cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, extending from the town of Loughborough in the north to the edge of Leicester to the south. 

Charnwood is easily accessible from the M1 and the high speed rail link between Sheffield and London. The council own a housing stock of approximately 5,700 properties.

The post holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to undertake site visits. The package includes an essential user car allowance.
