Digital Transformation Manager

Following a review, it’s an exciting time to join the Digital Services Team at Runnymede Borough Council.

We are embarking on an ambitious transformation programme, changing the way we work and using the best technology to deliver services to meet our customer needs.

If you have energy, passion and are ready to lead a digital transformation team to achieve our vision of delivering amazing digital services that will help change people’s lives then this job is for you.

We are looking for a Digital Transformation Manager to join our Digital Services Team based at the Civic Centre in the heart of Addlestone’s regenerated town centre. Here you will part of a team committed to driving improvement through innovative ideas using the latest technology and supporting staff to access council software services.

As the Digital Transformation Manager, you will manage the delivery of multiple projects and digital service improvements, removing obstacles or ‘blockers’ to deliver success. You’ll be adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.

You’ll provide leadership and set standards for your team, working collaboratively across the Council to achieve our ambitious program of change. You will be working in a fast- paced and demanding environment, so it is important that you are well organised and resilient; can remain calm, focussed, and professional at all times.

You must have experience in delivering public facing digital transformation projects, an excellent understanding of the fundamentals of software development, processes and procedures, incremental delivery and the value of using data and metrics to inform decisions. Strong influencing, conflict resolution and negotiation are also a must and able to actively build and maintain morale levels within the team through open communication and activities that foster a sense of team unity and a focus on the achievement of results.
