Social Workers - Children’s Social Care
Permanent, full time (37 hours per week)
Scale 6 – PO1, Salary £25,799 - £37,788 inclusive of market supplement
Rutland Children's Social Care is a great place to practice social work. Are you an ambitious social worker who wants to be part of a forward thinking, innovative Council? In Rutland, we’re committed and responsive in a way that many other authorities can only dream of.
Our social workers can see cases through to their conclusion and influence a broader range of services. They get closer to service users. A role in one of our Social Care teams is an opportunity to make a huge impact – both on Rutland, and on your own career. It’s a chance to get closer to the things that really matter.
What we’re looking for:
We want to hear from dedicated, motivated social workers who want to develop their career with us. You are a qualified, professional social worker with experience of duty services, court proceedings, and child protection, who strives for continuous improvement. You’re a clear communicator, with the ability to explain complicated information simply, and highly skilled in mediating and negotiating on behalf of service users.
If you’re looking for an opportunity that enables you to work closely with vulnerable children and their families, where your skills and experience can make a significant difference, and where there really is a work life balance, then this is the place to work. We offer manageable caseloads, learning events, training, and regular reflective supervision to focus on you. We encourage continually improving practice to ensure children’s interests are always protected and promoted.
To support you further, your HCPC registration and DBS costs are covered by us. We can also provide financial relocation assistance for experienced social workers, if you’re moving to join Rutland (subject to management approval).
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We act as ‘One Council’ in all we do, with each of us working together in the most effective way to meet the needs of our customers every day – if you share this ethos then we very much want to hear from you.
