About the role
Service – IT & Digital is a service within the Orbis partnership, providing technology and business change support to Surrey County Council, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove Council.
Team – This role is within the Data Analytics Centre of Excellence part of the Digital Innovation Team and Projects and Innovation group of the Orbis IT & Digital service. The Data Analytics Centre of Excellence is responsible for facilitating, promoting and delivering on the use of Analytics to achieve business objectives across Orbis and SCC and to deliver business transformation.
Role – The role is charged with leveraging data and analytics to optimize customer experience and business processes. You will take the role of Expert in the field of Advanced Analytics for the authority, leading on the discovery, development, implementation and support of an advanced analytics capability.
Skilled in Analytical techniques and with an extensive and varied history in delivering advanced data analytics solutions in a complex organisation and to a demonstrable high standard, the candidate must have a passion for the subject matter and a desire for continuous self improvement

- Experience of using machine learning and sklls in Python or equivalent language

- Extensive experience of traditional reporting platforms such as Business Objects, Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau and ETL tools such as SSIS or FME as well as significant experience in SQL Coding and relational database design with SQL Server.
