Salary: £41,735 - £51,343 per annum

9 months Fixed Term Contract with a possibility to be extended to 12 months

37 Hours per Week

We are looking for a project manager with proven experience in the delivery of housing capital refurbishment projects to join our Transforming Homes Programme team to cover maternity leave for 9 months starting from December 2019.

The Councils Transforming Homes programme delivers major improvement works of the council owned homes in the borough through both internal and external major works projects. This post will work with one major contractor to ensure the effective mobilisation and delivery of number of external works packages.

We are looking for a highly organised individual with a Housing project delivery background. It is essential that you have a solid understanding of major works contract formats and governance requirements and that you can evidence a track record of nurturing effective partnerships. You will use to ensure this very successful programme continues to deliver to quality, timeframe and resident satisfaction expectations.

On a regular basis you will:

  • Lead, motivate and manage the allocated project resources including external consultancy services
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure the appropriate consideration and support for our residents undergoing works to their homes
  • Facilitate effective contract monitoring and governance arrangements
  • Provide monthly project progress reports
  • Line manage two resident liaison officers
  • Arrange and chair local resident meetings
  • Carry out site visits across the borough

The post attracts a business user allowance for the use of your own vehicle to undertake the role.
